Inside the Gates February 5-6, 2026

Inside the Gates is an overnight visit program that is open to students who are interested in attending The Citadel (application/acceptance not required). Students will each have their own Citadel cadet host. They will spend the night in the barracks, eat in the mess hall, and get a firsthand glimpse of cadet life. (must be 16 years old to participate)

Thursday, students and families check-in at 5:00 PM. Programming for parents and families will conclude by 7:00 PM to allow for dinner reservations. (Please contact the admissions office if you would like recommendations for hotels, restaurants, local attractions, or have any other questions about the Holy City!)
Programming for students will continue into the evening after parents are dismissed.

Friday morning, students will attend classes and meet with faculty from their academic major of interest. 

Friday at noon, students and families will reunite and have the opportunity to learn more about...
     - The Citadel's academic programs
     - ROTC opportunities
     - Cadet life
     - Financial Aid
     - Student Support Services
Walking tours of our legendary riverfront campus will also be offered.

Scheduled activities will conclude by 3:30 PM prior to the 3:45 PM Parade. (Please note there is no parade on December 5, 2025).
