Inside the Gates January 22-23, 2026

Inside the Gates is an overnight visit program designed for students interested in attending The Citadel (no application or prior acceptance required). Each participant will be paired with a Citadel cadet host and will experience campus life firsthand, spending the night in the barracks, dining in the mess hall, and gaining an authentic glimpse of the cadet experience. Participants must be at least 16 years old to attend.
 

Thursday
5:00PM - Check-in for students and families 
7:00PM - Parent and family programming concludes (student programming will continue into the evening after parents are dismissed).

Friday
Morning - Students attend classes and meet with faculty in their intended academic area of interest
12:00PM - Students and families reunite for an overview of:
        -Academic programs
        -Cadet life   
        -Financial Aid
        -ROTC opportunities
        -Student Support Services
*Walking tours of campus will also be offered.

3:30PM - Scheduled activities conclude
3:45PM - Parade
